Founded in 2017, The Hidden Hive is a magical Tipi Wedding & Events Venue located in the heart of the Derbyshire National Forest, ran by the multi-award winning Midland’s Tipi hire company, Peaktipis.
It’s the perfect outdoor celebration venue, a place for people to come together, enjoy the idyllic lakes & stunning woodland setting & get back to nature – all with the luxury of our beautiful Tipis.

With a variety of tailored table and seating options, a fully serviced Bar and the freedom to choose your own suppliers and decorate the Tipi however you would like, The Hidden Hive provides everything you’d need for a Tipi wedding, alongside all of the luxury Tipi extras for the ultimate, bespoke wedding venue personal to you.

- Exclusive use of The Hidden Hive venue space
- 3 Giant Kata Tipis and 1 chill-out Kungs Tipi, all with solid wooden flooring throughout
- Rustic wooden frontage with double doors and windows across the entrance of the Tipis to keep the warmth in whilst still enjoying the views
- Luxury twinkling fairy lights throughout
- Rustic wooden tables, chiavari chairs, 2 giant peacock chairs (for bride and groom), a cake table and a large indoor fire pit to mingle around
- Chill-out furniture and a small indoor fire pit inside the Kungs Tipi
- Fully serviced bar service and 12ft pine bar with both cash or card payment available
- Dance floor area with giant glittering disco ball, coloured spot lights and an extended space for a band/DJ
- Catering area joined to the Tipis with trestle tables, lighting and water supply included
- Flexibility to choose your own suppliers – or we can recommend our trusted and approved supplier friends in the industry

- Access to the site up to 12 midday* the day after the event, for you and your suppliers (*10am midweek)
- Bespoke floor plan options and meetings and site visits prior to event
- Out of hours customer service (contact) leading up to your event and 24/7 customer service (contact) during your 3 day venue hire period
- Direct liaison with your chosen suppliers to give you peace of mind
- Bespoke cabling to suit your supplier’s electrical and power requirements

SITE GUIDELINES
- Last orders for drinks is 12:00pm
- Live band, DJ or acoustic music must be finished by 12.00pm, however if you choose to have a silent disco this may continue until 12.30pm
- All guests must leave the site by 1am, anyone camping to move to the Glamping field at Beehive Woodland Lakes campsite
- You and your guests are responsible for your own and your children’s safety whilst at The Hidden Hive
- Guests must not go near the lakes after 11pm for obvious safety reasons
- No open flames (apart from fire pits provided by Peaktipis). Candles may be used if they are enclosed in vases or votives to protect them from falling over
- With this being rural venue with an abundance of wildlife in the area, no fireworks or Chinese lanterns are permitted
- We’re complete dog lovers here, but due to wildlife in the area and in the interest of other guests ‘safety, only very well behaved dogs and guide dogs are allowed as long as they are kept on leads at all times
- The lakes are open to fisherman daily but can be exclusively booked at £200 each if you’d like to have these all to yourself for photos (minus any fisherman) at your event. Don’t mind the fisherman, then the lakes are included in the price!
