Honeysuckle & Castle Wedding Planners

About Us

Honeysuckle & Castle are a small, friendly team of events co-ordinator’s with award winning services, exclusively managing East Midlands wedding venues, including National Trust properties Calke Abbey and Clumber Park.

Launched in 2009 by sisters Helen and Sally, Honeysuckle & Castle was a childhood dream which came to life after the planning and celebration of Sally’s big day, as well as years of being creatively used by friends and family.

Within just three short years, after co-ordinating and styling many weddings across the country, Honeysuckle & Castle was approached by the National Trust with the request to turn Calke Abbey into a quirky, unique wedding venue. And the rest, they say, is history…

With an instinctive passion for anything creative; flowers, stationery, fashion, design, décor, colours – and admittedly, a love for list-making – put all of this together and you have Derby’s finest family run Wedding Planning Service that is Honeysuckle & Castle.

At Honeysuckle & Castle, we understand that no two weddings are the same, and our aim is to create a day that’s magical and truly unique to each couple.

Our Story

“My little sister and I had the childhood dream of establishing our very own business together – and crucially, it had to be a ‘wedding’ business!

“As children, we were obsessed with everything ‘wedding’. Every ceremony we ‘had’, had to be different, but encapsulate all of a little girl’s fantasies – even our christening gown was once commandeered as a rather tight bridesmaid dress in a bid to have a Victorian wedding.

“When we organised both my own wedding and that of our middle sister Alison within 12 months of each other, we knew that wedding planning and venue styling was definitely the thing for us.

“With a shared creative gene and a love of all things nuptial, there is no one more suited to help make your day special than Helen and I.”
